DIY Casita Herbal Sachet

Herbal sachets have been used for hundreds of years! Did you know that they were a symbol of love during the Qing Dynasty? This Valentine’s Day it feels like the perfect time to bring back this tradition and make these sweet casita sachets for yourself and those you love. They are a great project for any beginner and can be sewn with a machine or all by hand.

I love to fill my herbal sachets with a little bit of wool, dried herbs and dried flowers - you could even add a few drops of your favorite essential oils. The wool holds onto scents well and makes them nice and soft so that you could even use them in your children’s beds to help bring sweet dreams. I love having herbal sachets in my linen closets, dresser drawers and sometimes even in my car! They keep linens fresh and can add a sweet touch of your summer herb garden to your home any time of the year.

They are also great gifts to give to children and adults alike! If you are looking for that perfect something to make for your significant other, little ones, co-workers, neighbors...or anyone needing a little extra love and comfort, this is a great choice!
