The girls of Gunn & Swain, Camp Wolf, Dulcet Creative and Neighborhood Collective recently hosted a family event for all ages in San Diego at Pow Wow Design Studio called Camp Pow Wow and their ticket sales and raffle prizes allowed them to generously donate hundreds of dollars to YMCA San Diego to provide after school and camping programs for local children.
As summer begins to wind down, parents start to get desperate for school to start and ideas for inspiration start to run low. With this event, their goal was to bring together local families and friends to provide kids and parents with a fun evening out. Since summer is primetime camp and camping season, we took that theme and ran with it. From an epic dance party filled with kids from 1 to 10, to fun Pendleton crafts from Camp Wolf, and a big screen movie after dark, they provided all the fun and the kids provided the entertainment.
Gunn & Swain blankets and pillows were layered on the ground for the kiddos, while the adults kicked back in the Pow Wow lounge, complete with wine and beer. The Dulcet Creative gals styled out the food table with a beautiful hand-painted backdrop and matching greenery that perfectly complemented our rustic, camping-themed food, including s’mores from Black Market Bakery and a DIY trail mix bar. Camp Wolf created a Pendleton binocular craft that was a huge hit and Neighborhood Creative dreamed up a wild greenery weaving station that parents and adults both loved.
It looks like an amazing time was had by all!
